Company History:

Dance Radio Network LLC was formed in Wilmington, Delaware during 2008. The company offered several channels of programming to broadcast affiliates. DRN leased on the Galaxy 23 satellite for several years as an effective way to deliver our automated content to authorized stations throughout North America.

Now and Then:

A lot has changed in the broadcast radio and music industries since the launch of DRN. Technologies including streaming and social media have changed the way listeners get their music. To survive in this evolving landscape, we had to change our business approach to customer solutions.

The Plan:

Since the global pandemic, Dance Radio Network has sought to ways to engage our audience. We now offer meeting and event packages to our affiliate stations in their respective markets. We offer a wider range of music genres. We now offer voice tracking solutions for station automation.

The Challenge:

Syndication needs to adapt with the changing times. For broadcast radio stations to stay competitive and profitable, new strategies must be adopted. Radio needs to be local in sound and physical location. Smart phones now give us our news on-demand. Other music services can give users an uninterrupted music playlist.

Broadcasters should create a “hometown” feeling about their station in a very real place in the community (i.e. a storefront, mall).

DRN is not local, but we can provide affordable assistance for resources at certain times within your broadcast day.

Dance Radio Network affiliate stations are our pride and joy! We want to see each affiliate be the very best in their market. The DRN team works hard to give you the resources and information you need for success. We have a party every time your ratings soar!

Although we formerly offered 24/7 programming with automation solutions distributed via satellite, times have changed. Automation has become much easier for anyone to master with software solutions which includes voice tracking and a digital music library.

Our clients now want specialty programs which can air at select times to make them money. Being “live” is less important to our customer feedback. Listeners want recognizable music, a familiar voice, and engaging content.
